Shell Green Banded HSE rating. Chevron HES Grade A.
AEC holds the highest safety credentials awarded by both of its major clients. Shell Pakistan's Green Banded HSE rating — achieved through the 2018 Achilles SQS audit — requires demonstrated sustained safety performance across all site operations, not just documentation compliance. Chevron's HES Grade A is awarded only to contractors who meet their most stringent health, environment, and safety standards. These are not baseline certifications. They represent independent, client-verified confirmation that AEC operates at the top tier of HSE performance in Pakistan's oil and gas sector.

Site Protocols

Permit-to-work systems, toolbox talks, and pre-task risk assessments are standard practice on every AEC project — not optional additions. Our site inductions are thorough and role-specific. PPE compliance is enforced without exception. For hazardous area work in live terminals, the same standards apply on day one of a contract as on the last. Consistency is what separates a safety culture from a safety programme.
Incident Prevention
The most important incidents are the ones that never happen.
AEC tracks near-misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions alongside recordable incidents — because the leading indicators matter as much as the lagging ones. Regular safety audits, independent inspections, and close-out tracking ensure that identified hazards are resolved, not just recorded. Our incident prevention framework is structured around the hierarchy of controls: eliminate first, protect last.
